Motocross Madness 2 REAL FINAL (c) Microsoft

iSO, released by DEViANCE 05-23-00. nfo

First release of MM2 came out but it was nuked by DEViANCEs request due bad crack and bin errors. They cracked it again and packed to be spread for all of us, and here it is. "REAL FINAL" release! ;)

I'm ready to rock!      Style!

Normal cdburn with 68min length so dont worry about need 80min cd. Installation was just as one could excpect with some nice motocross sounds in the background that almos scared me first time. After the installation you need to copy the crack from cd into the hd and thats it, installation complete. no worries!

Scenery is simply beautiful

Into the game we dive... whee. yeah the intro here is pretty much videoclip with some rockish soundtrack playing, intro is quite long (songlength?) and shows all kinds of biking action, about in the middle of the intro there is ingame video from actual gameplay and it looks fucking nice with many bikeracers !

wheelie        curve

Menus, are quite smooth to my taste, no problems there. But what got me on my toes was that the bike tuning must be handled from under the GAME OPTIONS menu, ehh basically its the same where you setup the bikes suspension and gears etc, but c'mon it would be little bit better to have "garage" or similiar menu option in the game, and not just the damn options menu slip :)

admiring the view        stunts!

Actual racing, oh my... it looks nice, it looks goddamn superb to me! My screen resolution was 1280*1024 and it was totally smooth ride with no slowing down at all. The bike handles like you would expect from a dirtbike in real life, it feels very good. Maybe some jumps/speeds are pretty out of balance but for my taste it was just good, no problems. There is lot of stunts/tricks you can pull off with the bike, but I've yet to learn many of those, I just enjoyed the riding faaaast! :)
The terrain graphics were absolutely great for this kind of fast-moving-race game, the trees looked too fucking good as you drove by fast. I'm a blind man as my personal friends can tell, and I didnt even see any details of them as they rushed by, so the terrain & terrain detail works flawlessly. And when you collide the objects, the bike and racer (you) fly like they really struck tree at 127km/h, looks good!

fly!          supercross jump

The hills are especially nice to climb with high speed and jump over, goddamn you get grabbed by you stomach when the hill passes underneath and hooooo! there is like fucking awesome canyon in the other side of the hill which you stupid fucker just passed like 80km/h, and now its fly time baby. Haha cool!

too high        racing trains

Single Player

In single player there is few game modes to choose which are:
Baja              - follow the arrow as you race through easy, open terrain.
Stunts           - compete in time-based events for maximum stunt points
Enduro         - race laps through large open environments.
National       - race on challenging outdoor motocross tracks.
Supercross - race on tight and treacherous indoor stadium tracks.
Pro-Circuit  - compete for cash and points as you build a pro riding career.
The supercross indoors track was pretty nice, never ride one in real life (yeah I used to ride 80cc, and later 250cc Yamaha motocross bikes when I was kid, err I mean some years ago) but it looks like the tracks you can see on tv. Its way different than driving on free terrain at outdoors, you cannot get such speeds as you do in flat terrain, but then again those jumps are way cool to ride as fast as you can.

Crash on race      Wheelie!

Multiplayer

Supported options for multifun with your friends are; ipx/lan, tcp/ip, msn zone, serial, modem.
with ipx you can hook up local lan connections, tcp/up allows 7 players via internet thru ip addresses, you can host/join game. I've have not gotten to play with anyone yet (for obvious reasons), maybe I'll update this multiplayer part when we have time to test it.

Flying     PMC -fuck the police!

MM2 also has nice instant replay and ghost race menu where you can load/save your favourite replay films from the races/drives/stunts you have pulled in the game, good stuff to show off your friends whos the madcat racer on the block.
Highscores table also exist in the game, yet I've not bothered to see whats in them.

fall!         Where to next?

Conclusion

What can I say other than I've never ever have seen this good MicroSoft product! :) This game is definitely worth the leech and cd burn, no doubt (but please dont by it, Buhahah!). Every aspect of MM2 looks nice and touches the heart of all wannabe motrocross riders. If the multiplayer is any good, this is a winner.

winter       bigass engine :)
